Something is Happening - PhotoBook
Putting the photobook together really changed how I understood the project as a whole. Instead of looking at each photo on its own, I had to think about how the images worked together and how someone might experience them in order. I spent a lot of time rearranging pages, paying attention to colors, contrast, and how one image led into the next. Grouping similar tones or moods helped the book feel more intentional, while switching between darker and brighter images created a natural rhythm that kept things from feeling flat or repetitive.
“Professionalism is environmental. Amateurism is anti-environmental. Professionalism merges the individual into patterns of the total environment.”
The photobook became its own environment, where the sequencing and color choices shaped how the work was read. Instead of each photo competing for attention, they became part of a larger flow. This helped me translate my personal way of seeing into something more cohesive, allowing the viewer to move through the book the same way I move through and make sense of my surroundings.
